About Jilly
I’ve been a personal trainer for more than 15 years, having attained my Personal Trainer award in London in 2007.
Based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, I’m now a recognised Reps Level 3 Senior Advanced Instructor and pre and post natal fitness specialist.
I also hold a GP referral qualification, which means I am qualified to train clients with conditions including diabetes, hypertension, osteoarthritis and osteoporosis, to help them improve their health.
I’m also qualified in nutrition, Pilates, kettlebells, boxing, Olympic weightlifting and suspension training, so I’m fully qualified to train you in the privacy of my own gym.
How can I help you?
Pre and post pregnancy:
I’m very experienced with both pre and post-pregnancy exercise.
I have helped women to achieve the BMI stipulated by the NHS in order to receive IVF treatment. Some of them didn’t even need the IVF treatment because they fell pregnant naturally once they reached their optimum health levels.
I’ve also trained many women during pregnancy to alleviate discomfort such as back pain. Improving your antenatal health maximises oxygen levels in the body, which in turn improves the health of your baby.
Losing fat and increasing muscle mass:
Training well can help you lose weight and get fitter and healthier.
I have a high success rate with overweight and obese clients, with many losing at least two stone over the course of a year. This has lowered their blood pressure, prevented Type 2 diabetes and alleviated pain in their lower back and knees.
One client had been unable to sit on the floor, as he couldn’t lift his own weight to stand. After losing seven stone over two years training with me, he ran a 10km race!
GP referral:
Staying fit is about more than just looks. Keeping your muscles strong makes you happier and healthier for life and into old age.
One client came to me after being diagnosed with osteoporosis. After several months of sustained commitment, her bone density improved and stabilised, meaning she was less likely to break her hips and wrists if she fell.
Another client suffered a fall due to declining muscle mass and balance. Through regular training her legs became stronger and she regained her confidence.
